I just got a pair of 20 x 50's and they are hard to pinpoint things. My 10×20's work for spotting but if you want a really good view of the moon try the 20×50's. P.S. They were closeout at Big 5 for 30 bucks. Normally $110. You don't need to spend a lot of money. I do suggest a tripod though as things get shaky when trying to keep them steady with your hands. And this website is good for spotting
