Question by Ben: I have a really old pair of binoculars made in Japan, how old are they, and what company made them?
My grandpa passed on this old pair of Binoculars, I have absolutly no idea where they came from. There is a marking inbetween the lenses saying JAPAN, and around the outside of the eye peices there is on the left side (M A R I N F 4 x 50) right side (P I L O T 4 x 50)

I have an idea that maybe the MARINF stand for Marines, Infantry, perhaps it's an old service pair from WWI, but otherwise I'm clueless.

Anyone have any idea who made the binoculars? And how old they are?

I need it explained in simple, easy-to-understand language.
Perhaps explain the differences as to roof prism, porro prism, wide angle, degree of angle, what the X's stand for, as I don't know how to look for a small waterproof pair which brings things way up close to Buy Levitra Online use on a ship or for birdwatching.
Perhaps a certain brand and type can be suggested? I believe Bushnell are suppose to be very good but are they pricey because of the name? I see a lot of Nikons and wonder if they may be the best buy? (I am leary of Olympus because they have so many remanufactured products out there).
Any and all suggestions and info will be much appreciated. Thank you.
Also, please explain the field of view, angle of view and if some can be attached onto a tripod without an adapter.
And, should I look for fogfree lenses only?
Would ATB (allterrain) ones be best because they are more durable?

what is a good pair of cheap hunting binoculars?

I know Busnell is a good brand, but where is a good place to look for a good cheap pair that will do the trick? I do not wear glasses and prefer ones that are rugged, purchase prescription drugs without a prescription fog and waterproof and cheap meaning like no more then $50? We are deer hunting where there is a lot of trees and hills and such. I really would like one with the harness type so that if I have to run then its not bouncing all around and in my way. Any advise is appreicated, its my first time going.
